Geneva, Mar 27 (Prensa Latina) While a third of humanity faces food insecurity, an equivalent of one billion meals go to waste every day, a new report by the UN environment agency (UNEP) revealed on Wednesday. One fifth of food is thrown away.

United Nations, Dec 8 (Prensa Latina) The number of hungry people in West and Central Africa could reach a record high of 48 million next year, which should serve as a final wake-up call for regional governments to act now, three UN agencies said on Thursday.
