In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that this act becomes an sign of cybercrime and is part of the digital harassment practices repeatedly reported against Cuban institutions.
It also clarified that the content published during the period in which the account was compromised in no way represents the position of the Cuban Government, the Ministry, or any other Cuban institution.
It indicated that it is working in coordination with the relevant technical authorities to fully reestablish control of the channel, strengthen its security, and prevent future actions of this type.
In the statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its firm rejection of these illicit practices and expressed its determination to defend the truth and Cuba’s sovereign voice in all digital spaces.
