In its latest report on the damage caused by the war, the institution stated that currently the army controls more than 80 percent of the coastal enclave and noted that since the beginning of the conflict more than 150 thousand tons of explosives were thrown there.
It also accused the Israeli Armed Forces (IAF) of bombing at least 109 times the area of Al-Mawasi, declared by the neighbouring country as a “safe area”.
Over the number of victims reported more than 64,300 dead, including 20,000 children and 12,500 women, and more than nine thousand 500 disappeared under the rubble.
Of the total number of children killed, more than 1,000 were under one year old, of whom 450 were born and died during the war, it warned.
The Office accused the IAF of murdering 1,670 health workers, 139 members of the Civil Defence and 248 members of the press.
It pointed out that about two thousand 700 families were exterminated and erased from the civil registry, and of another six thousand only one member remains alive.
In terms of health, he explained that 376 Palestinians died from hunger and malnutrition, including 134 children, and counted more than 12,000 spontaneous abortions among pregnant women due to lack of food and health care.
More than 162,000 people were injured during the war, of which 19,000 need long-term rehabilitation, he said.
Of that last figure, he detailed, about 4800 are cases of amputations, 1200 of paralysis and a similar number of blindness.
As a result of the systematic shelling, 38 hospitals and 96 medical facilities were destroyed or left out of service, the report noted.
The Office warned that there were also 788 attacks were reported against health “facilities, vehicles, personnel, supply chains”.
According to the source, 662 school buildings were directly shelled, representing 80 per cent of the total number in Gaza, of which 163 were completely destroyed.
The IAF killed over 13,500 students there in the past 23 months, more than 830 teachers and sector staff, as well as 193 scientists, academics and researchers, noted the government office.
The text noted that in that time about 268,000 houses were destroyed and another 148,000 suffered significant damage, rendering them uninhabitable.
