Analysts consulted emphasize that the official position reflects a change in Poland’s migration policy, in the face of internal pressure.
A survey by the CBOS center revealed that half of Poles consider aid to Ukrainian refugees excessive and that the subsidies are too high.
This public opinion affects more than 900,000 Ukrainian refugees currently residing in Poland, the outlet reported.
The situation highlights the growing tensions within the community over the management of the migration crisis stemming from the conflict in Ukraine.
