The Malaysian monarch’s agenda in the Arab country, from December 22 to 24, included various activities, the most important of which was his meeting with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi.
In a meeting held at Qasr Al Bahr Palace, the king stated that it paved the way for a more strategic and forward-looking partnership between the two nations.
In a post on FaceBook the sultan said the dialogue covered cooperation on economic matters, investment, and food security.
“We discussed several issues, including efforts to strengthen defense cooperation between Malaysia and the UAE,” he noted.
During his stay, the Malaysian king visited two advanced manufacturing and technology facilities belonging to the UAE’s leading defense conglomerate, EDGE Group.
One of the centers specializes in the production of high-performance military vehicles, while the other manufactures renowned small arms.
