Venezuela first, and now Trump wants Greenland

Washington, Jan 7 (Prensa Latina) The attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, continue to draw condemnation of the United States government, and Donald Trump is now considering options for his next target: Greenland.

The White House reported that it is “analyzing a variety of options” to acquire Greenland, and Washington does not rule out the possibility that fulfilling President Trump’s long-held ambition may again require the use of the United States Armed Forces.

B“President Trump has made it clear that acquiring Greenland is a national security priority for the United States and is critical to deterring our adversaries in the Arctic region,” stated White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in a press release.

The spokesperson said that “the President and his team are discussing a variety of options to pursue this important foreign policy objective, and, of course, using the United States military is always an option available to the Commander-in-Chief.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio threw the question of whether the purchase of the autonomous territory of Denmark is being considered this week, despite Danish authorities repeatedly stating that it is not for sale.

At the same time, Rubio downplayed concerns about a potential U.S. military intervention in the near future, according to unidentified sources familiar with the matter.
