Beijing, Nov 2 (Prensa Latina) China will send several special representatives to Iran, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Egypt, and Eritrea in early-to-mid November to boost regional peace and stability, the Foreign Ministry announced.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said Chinese government’s special envoy on Middle East issues, Zhai Jun, will visit Iran, Oman, and Saudi Arabia during the first half of this month.

Chinese government’s special representative on African affairs, Liu Xianfa, will travel to Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Egypt during the same period.

Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for Horn of Africa affairs, Hu Changchun, will visit Eritrea in early November.

Mao noted that the envoys will implement President Xi Jinping’s initiatives and proposals on boosting peace and security in the Middle East, as well as the “four principles” Beijing put forward to resolve pressing issues in Africa for the constructive participation of all parties.

The spokesperson affirmed that the Chinese representatives will conduct concurrent visits to several countries in the region to foster reconciliation and dialogue, ease tensions, and preserve regional peace and stability.
