The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy declared that any aggression against Iranian oil tankers will be responded to with “severe attacks” on US military targets in the region.
Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force informed that Iranian missiles and drones have already identified targets linked to the United States and “hostile vessels,” and remain ready to be launched if orders are received.
The Iranian warnings come after two days of military escalation in the Strait of Hormuz, where, according to official Iranian releases and statements from the US Central Command (CENTCOM), forces from both countries exchanged attacks on vessels.
US President Donald Trump told, in parallel, French channel LCI that he expects a response from Tehran “very soon” regarding Washington’s proposal to end the war.
The United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28, after which Tehran responded with attacks on Israel and US targets in several countries in the region.
