The event is organized by the Ethiopian Cybersecurity Association (ECySA) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
ECySA President Berhane Beyene stated at a recent press briefing that the event will include the participation of government and academic institutions, cybersecurity and AI organizations, regulatory bodies, and companies.
Beyene also confirmed the attendance of national security agencies and services, ministers of information and communication technologies and digital transformation, professionals from security and network operations centers, critical infrastructure operators, banks, telecommunications providers, and others.
He affirmed that the conference will contribute to strengthening Africa’s cyber resilience through knowledge sharing and collaboration, present real-world experiences in cybersecurity implementation and incident response, and showcase AI-based security solutions.
ECA representative Amos Homodza, in turn, considered the meeting crucial, as African countries speed up their digital transformation.
