Venezuelan President pays tribute to terrorism victims

Caracas, Oct 6 (Prensa Latina) The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, paid tribute today to the victims of the terrorist attack carried out against a Cuban plane in Barbados on October 6, 1976.

Through the social network Twitter, the president repudiated the State terrorism sponsored by the US government as a way to impose its hegemonic interests in Latin America.

‘The bombing of the Cubana de Aviación plane 45 years ago was a criminal act financed and executed by U.S. imperialism. We remember the 73 martyrs of this terrorist attack, and we demand justice and the end of these imperial war policies,’ Maduro wrote in the communication platform.

The aircraft mid-flight explosion was planned by two Cuban born terrorists Luis Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosch, who were in the CIA’s payroll.

Cuba declared October 6th as the Day of the Victims of State Terrorism, to pay tribute to those over 3400 persons who have died in attacks orchestrated by the US against the island.
