Cuba with a network of researchers to face global challenges

Havana, Oct 27 (Prensa Latina) The new version of the Cuban Network of Researchers on International Relations (REDINT), launched again online today, will allow disclosing scientific knowledge on the main global problems, their possible solutions and strengthening alliances among centers.

In statements to Prensa Latina, the rector of the Higher Institute of International Relations ‘Raul Roa Garcia’ (ISRI), Rogelio Sierra Diaz, remarked that the platform will stimulate a better collaboration among its members, as well as enhancing the visibility of the results.

The website accessible at https://redint.isri.cu/, is more modern, with specialized bibliography and attractive content, and is available to academics, teachers, specialists, diplomats and the general public interested in the subject, he said.

In that sense, Sierra emphasized how those present in REDINT can be part of a community and in its technological platform develop debates in virtual forum and videoconferences, in addition to the facilities to interact on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and a Youtube channel.

In that direction, it is also possible to find specialized Cuban magazines, research projects in progress, books, the call and results of academic events, doctoral programs, master’s degrees and courses of universities and study centers, as well as audiovisual materials and podcasts of its researchers.

In addition, the initiative coordinated by ISRI promotes the establishment of alliances and projects with other similar networks on an international scale, the rector noted.

REDINT emerged in 2016 involving institutions such as the research centers for International Politics, the World Economy, and the Center for Hemispheric and US Studies.

The Network brings together over a hundred professionals from Cuba and abroad who develop studies on the subject, and will favor communication among its members in search of better scientific results, in the midst of a complex context at the global level, he pointed out.
