Lebanon to denounce Israeli air violations before UN

Beirut, Aug 15 (Prensa Latina) Lebanon will denounce before the Security Council of the United Nations (UN) the violations of its airspace by Israel to attack Syria, the local Foreign Ministry disclosed today.

Through a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants confirmed that it will file a complaint with the multilateral organization in order to intervene in the continuous Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty.

At the same time, he denounced the use of the national territory by Tel Aviv to attack the Syrian people in flagrant violation of international law and treaties.

In this sense, the Federation of Air Transport Unions in Lebanon rejected the silence of the world and even its complicity with the arrogance of Israel to fly over this nation and attack the sister country.

Through a statement, the entity holds the Zionist entity and its followers responsible for any disaster that occurs in Lebanese airspace as a result of these terrorist acts.

The vice president of the Shiite Islamic Supreme Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, described Israel’s siege as a double aggression against Lebanon and Syria and demanded strengthening solidarity, cooperation and raising the level of coordination between the two countries.

Parliamentarian Hassan Murad and the Arab Socialist Party (Baath) also condemned how, once again, Tel Aviv violates the country’s airspace to continue its criminal practices against the Syrian people.

According to local reports, Syrian air defenses yesterday engaged hostile targets in the skies over the coastal province of Tartous and in the airspace of the Qalamoun mountain range, near the Lebanese border.
