MP Murad and the political force denounced how, once again, Tel Aviv violates Lebanese airspace to shell and continue with its terrorist practices on the Syrian people.
On his Twitter account, the lawmaker called on the Lebanese State and Government to file an urgent complaint to the UN Security Council due to the concern for sovereignty and the refusal to use the national sky to attack a brotherly country.
For its part, the central Baath leadership in Syria called on Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati and Acting Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib to take an official position rejecting Tel Aviv’s persistence and its violation of the Lebanese space to cause harm to the Syrian nation.
According to local reports, Syrian air defenses on Sunday intercepted hostile targets in the skies over the coastal Tartous province and in the air of the Qalamoun Mountains, near the Lebanese border.
In the face of these events, the Syrian Government deplored the United Nations’ silence and ratified its right to defend the integrity and sovereignty of the national territory by all legitimate means.
