Tense calm in West Bank after protests over Israeli crimes

palestivo-viven-jerusalen-1
Ramallah, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) The Palestinian territories on Wednesday woke up under a tense calm after several demonstrations and clashes with Israeli security forces in rejection of a new military offensive in the West Bank, which caused six deaths.

Four young Palestinians were injured, two of them shot with bullets, during clashes in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, a few hours ago, Maan news agency reported.

The source also reported riots in Al Tur town, near the occupied area of East Jerusalem.

The news agency stated that the military forces stormed Al-Tur leading to clashes with the residents.

A similar situation occurred in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem, where arrests of several citizens were reported.

In recent weeks, the escalation of violence has significantly increased in the West Bank following Israeli raids and the response to that formation.

Several Israeli media outlets warned that the Army called for a large-scale offensive against the territory.
