After long hours of debate, the Upper House validated the Government’s proposal with 252 votes in favor, 16 against, and 76 abstentions, a few days after it also won a majority of seats in the National Assembly, which meant the approval of the budget modification.
The leading item will be the energy bonus, for which each family group will receive 100-200 euros before the end of 2022.
Aids also cover households that are heated with firewood, the energy bills of universities, and extending a 30-cent-per-liter fuel discount until mid-November.
