“I´m proud not to be welcomed in Peru”, says López Obrador

Lopez-Obrador2-2-768x512
Mexico City, May 22 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Monday stated he fekt so proud that Peru’s de facto Government declared him ‘persona non grata’, thus not welcomed for lashing out at the coup regime.

At the end of his morning press briefing, López Obrador referred to the issue in the middle of an international question.

He avoided confirming whether there is a risk of disrupting relations with Peru after his criticism to the coup President Dina Boluarte, but explained why he is not welcomed in that country.

López Obrador told off again the coup d’état against Pedro Castillo, while condemning Boluarte´s collusion with the U.S. Government that supports her through the direct intervention of Washington’s ambassador.

The clashes with the coup leader Boluarte increased after Lopez Obrador’s statements that he would not hand over the pro tempore presidency of the Pacific Alliance to Peru because a spurious government is in power there, and today he reiterated it is repressive and has caused over 60 deaths due to violence unleashed.

Mexican leader severely criticized Washington for having sent U.S. soldiers to Peru.

“I cannot remain silent ahead of a crime committed in Peru and abuse against a legitimately elected president without cause to defenestrate and imprison him, to favor economic interests that take advantage of Peru’s natural resources at the expense of the suffering of the Peruvian people,” Obrador concluded.
