The plenary of the meeting agreed to discuss how countries can work together to halt environmental crises such as biodiversity loss and pollution.

We are the same human beings, it is the same nature, the same environment and it is the same planet so we are very concerned about the fragmentation and atomization of environmental issues, the chair of the meeting stressed.

The meeting attendees will discuss 19 draft resolutions, including how to restore degraded lands, combat sandstorms, and reduce the environmental impact of metal and mineral mining, which must be approved by consensus.

At the 2022 UNéA-6 meeting, participants approved 14 resolutions, including one on the creation of a binding legal instrument to end environmental plastic pollution.
