The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that the sector is currently suffering from a shortage of medicines and the absence of health personnel.

There is also a shortage of blood donations, medical equipment and beds to treat gunshot victims, the OCHA statement said.

Catherine Russell, Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef), denounced that the main social services are on the verge of collapse.
