Argentine Movement urged to strengthen the struggle for Malvinas

Buenos Aires, Apr 2 (Prensa Latina) The Argentine Movement of Solidarity with Cuba paid tribute today to the veterans who fell in the Malvinas War and urged to strengthen the struggle to recover that territory.

In a statement, the organization criticized President Javier Milei for publicly declaring his admiration for former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013) and accused him of maintaining a surrendering policy towards the United States, its investment funds and corporations.

While Washington sends to our country the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (William Burns) and the head of the Southern Command (Laura Richardson), we must unite our struggle to recover the Islands, raising the voice of Our America for peace, and repudiate the installation in our region of US military bases and those of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the text states.

The document also warns that the empire is determined to recolonize Latin America and the Caribbean, with its military installations, the illegally occupied territory in Guantánamo, Cuba, the control of the Panama Canal, the semi-colony of Puerto Rico, and the presence of NATO in Malvinas.

Likewise, the movement considers that “only with national and popular unity, anti-imperialist and Latin Americanism, we will be able to confront the monster, as the Cuban National Hero José Martí (1853-1895) described it”.
