Hizbullah bombs settlement in response to Israeli crimes

Beirut, May 5 (Prensa Latina) The Lebanese Resistance (Hizbullah) today bombed the settlement of Kiryat Shmona, in response to Israeli crimes against localities and civilians in the south of the nation.

In an initial statement, Hizbullah confirmed the launch of dozens of Katyusha and Falaq rockets towards the aforementioned colony at noon, in retaliation for the Israeli aggression against the southern town of Mais al-Jabal that caused the death of three people and several injuries.

Minutes later, the Resistance announced the direct impact of the Katyusha in an action against the enemy’s artillery bunkers and the deployment of its soldiers and vehicles to the Al-Zaoura position, in the occupied Syrian Golan.

As part of their operations in support of the people of Gaza, Hizbullah fighters attacked surveillance equipment at the Ramya site in the western sector of the southern border.

In this context, the Israeli Army spokesperson acknowledged the launching of 65 rockets from southern Lebanon.

In this regard, the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom reported the fall of several missiles in Kiryat Shmona and the police reported they are facing multiple incidents within the settlement, as well as two injured settlers.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported calls from frightened residents and the impact of rockets on homes and roads.

According to the media, Israel faces a war of attrition and the citizens of the north, of whom around 80,000 fled, do not know when they will be able to return without any response from the government.

Incidentally, the Supreme Council of Galilee acknowledged that several buildings were hit by rockets in Kiryat Shmona and a power outage occurred in Metula and Al-Manara.

Israeli Army Radio commented that Hizbullah rocket launch rates in the north are not fixed, but have gradually increased since the beginning of the war in a noticeable manner.

In the last three months, shootings increased at a rate more than double that of previous periods, the publication stated.

Since the opening of the battle front on October 8, Hizbullah has carried out more than 1,650 operations against Israeli sites, bases, equipment, deployment of soldiers and settlements in occupied Lebanese and Syrian territories and in the depths of the entity up to 15 kilometers later, of the withdrawal line.
