St. Vincent and the Grenadines increases its tourism

Havana, Jan 28 (Prensa Latina) Comments by scholars regarding regional tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean consider the progress of St. Vincent and the Grenadines based on its most recent data (2024).

That is the case of the scholar on issues of the leisure industry such as the Cuban José Luís Perelló who in his account on Facebook notified this Tuesday that it is a 25% increase in tourist arrivals for that nation.

It indicates that this small island destination has become a standout in the Caribbean, achieving a remarkable year-on-year increase of 25% in overnight tourist arrivals in 2024.

The announcement was made by the country’s Ministry of Tourism, as it confirmed that the destination exceeded its tourism growth targets, with a 25,6% increase in overnight visitors compared to 2023 and a 39% increase from 2019, a peak year before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Overnight tourist arrivals reached an all-time high, with 101,471 registered visitors in December 2024.

This achievement marks the first time the Caribbean state has exceeded 100,000 overnight tourists. St. Vincent and the Grenadines also led its regional peers with the highest average growth rate in overnight tourist arrivals.
