According to the entity’s statements to the TASS news agency, the fifth freedom allows airlines to fly between two foreign countries if the flight begins or ends in their country of origin.

The Ministry of Transport also stated that the resumption of flights with Brazil by Russian airlines is currently impossible due to the lack of aircraft in their fleet capable of making direct flights.

However, if Brazilian airlines offer to establish direct air communication with Russia, Russia is willing to process the corresponding permits, the statement highlights.
