The event will be held at the Quito Metropolitan Convention Center and will feature the participation of political leaders, representatives of multilateral organizations, sustainability experts, and international cooperation actors.
The Summit was organized by the Consortium of Provincial Autonomous Governments of Ecuador, the Association of Municipalities, and the National Confederation of Rural Parish Governments. It will include forums on climate governance, green financing, and the challenges facing local governments in the face of the environmental crisis.
One of the key guests will be Belgian economist and environmentalist Gunter Pauli, creator of the concept of the blue economy, who will present his vision of regenerative models applicable to local contexts.
The event seeks to articulate a roadmap between subnational governments, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and academia, in line with international commitments to sustainable development and climate action.
