The Russian head of State received the Bolivarian delegation at the Kremlin, accompanied by his Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, and other members of his cabinet, where he praised the alliances between governments that have made it possible to achieve positive results, such as the 64% increase in trade exchanges.
He also highlighted the interactions between officials of the two countries in areas such as energy, pharmaceuticals, logistics, health and humanitarian spheres.
“In general, Putin said, we are satisfied with the way our contacts are developing” and thanked the Venezuelan president “for his personal attention to this matter”.
The Eurasian dignitary recalled “our friend” Commander Hugo Chavez (1954-2013) “a very important leader not only for his country, but also for all Latin America”.
He pointed out that Maduro is advancing “in the implementation of his work and in everything good” and noted that they will have the opportunity to talk in all the directions in which they interact.
