Meeting with a multi-party Indian parliamentary delegation visiting Jakarta, Ulil Abshar Abdalla, chairman of the Executive Board of the religious organization Nahdlatul Ulama, said he felt India’s pain and supported New Delhi’s initiative to promote peace and economic development.
The Indian parliamentary delegation, led by Representative Sanjay Kumar Jha, is in Indonesia with the mission of conveying the government’s unequivocal position on the fight against terrorism to local political and diplomatic leaders and think tanks.
For his part, Kumar Jha urged the leaders of the Indonesian Islamic organization to support India and condemn cross-border terrorism to send a strong message to the world.
