The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that 15 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over the Belgorod Oblast and 12 over the Kursk territory.
Kursk Governor Alexander Khinshtein announced that one of the Ukrainian drones caused damage to a hospital in the Russian city of Kursk, leaving no casualties among patients.
“Drone fragments caused damage to the hospital in Kursk, blowing out window panes. Fortunately, there were no casualties among patients,” the authority wrote on Telegram.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Republic of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek shelter elsewhere.
