The Wooden Street of Havana’s Historic Center is the protagonist, as every week, of the analysis of a literary work and on this occasion corresponds this copy of Prieto in the context of Latin America and the Caribbean.
The author of this book focuses on examining the processes of human beings through the study of Political Economy, which encompasses social relations, production, the search for sustenance for survival, as well as its reproduction, acceptance, distribution of material goods, the exchange of these goods and consumption.
In his book, Prieto explores “the socioeconomic evolution of societies since the Stone Age, starting from their complexities and their simplest constituent parts, and going through different processes”.
In this line we find revolutionary, reformist, interventionist, nationalist, anti-imperialist and socialist transformations up to the dream of many: ” The Latin American and Caribbean integration”.
