The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that 19 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over the Bryansk region; 17 over the Kursk region; 13 over Smolensk; seven over Volgograd; six over Oryol; five over Rostov and the Peninsula of Crimea; three over the Belgorod region; three more over Astrakhan; two over Ryazan; and one over Moscow.
The national air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, reported that temporary operation restrictions have been imposed at the airports of Kaluga and Volgograd to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Peninsula of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek shelter elsewhere.
