In its usual press release published on Saturday on its official Telegram channel, the military body stressed that the Eastern group advanced deep into the Ukrainian lines and as a result occupied the settlement of Zaporozhie, located in the Donetsk region.
The military ministry reminded that last week the Eastern group of the Russian Armed Forces seized Torskoye and Novoaleksandrovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, while the Central group of troops took control of Mikhailovka, also in Donetsk.
In its advance the Center group inflicted 515 casualties, the highest number of the day, in the localities of Krasnarmeisk and Novopavlovka, both in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In sum, the Russian army counted 1,300 casualties inflicted on the Ukrainian units in the last day.
Also, the groups of Northern and Western troops advanced in the Ukrainian provinces of Sumy and Kharkov, where they destroyed several ammunition warehouses.
Regarding Kiev’s war materiel losses, Russian forces reported the destruction of three tanks and 13 armored vehicles, including a U.S. M113; 12 artillery pieces, including a U.S.-made M777 howitzer; and nine ammunition and equipment stores.
In addition, air defense systems intercepted four U.S. JDAM bombs and shot down 97 UAVs.
