Xi recalled that last September he co-chaired the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing together with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, leading China-Africa relations into a new stage of jointly building a strong and resilient community for the new era.

Noting that China and Senegal are partners on the road to development and revitalization, as well as good brothers, Xi said Beijing is willing to work with Senegal to strengthen solidarity and cooperation.

He also favored deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, generating greater benefits for both peoples, and boosting China-Africa friendship and cooperation with the Global South.
