With date yet to be set, the meeting will seek new areas to expand economic and trade ties between the two countries, which last year maintained a trade volume of approximately 20.8 billion dollars.
China is currently Angola’s main trade and investment partner outside the oil sector.
The day before, the Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tete Antonio, received the ambassador of the Asian nation, Zhang Bin, with whom he discussed the business meeting and reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation.
At the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthen the historic ties of friendship and solidarity between the two countries, with emphasis on sectors of common interest, a note from the Angolan Foreign Ministry said.
Ambassador Zhang Bin took the opportunity to reaffirm the Chinese government’s continued support for Angola’s efforts to achieve its sustainable development goals, expressing his satisfaction with the level of political dialogue and mutual trust between Luanda and Beijing.
