Afghanistan condemns Israeli decision on Gaza

Kabul, Aug 9 (Prensa Latina) The Afghan Foreign Ministry today condemned the Israeli authorities' decision to completely occupy the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns the decision by the Israeli regime to completely occupy the Gaza Strip as a dangerous and worrying step that will lead to the expansion of war and the aggravation of the humanitarian crisis of the Palestinian people, points to the portfolio release.

The Afghan Foreign Ministry also urged countries with influence in the region to ensure conditions for a ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians as soon as possible.

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that his country intends to establish control over the entire territory of the Gaza Strip in order to ensure a ‘security perimeter’ and subsequently transfer the enclave to a new ‘civilian government’.

Under the new plan, Tel Aviv plans to provide humanitarian aid to civilians outside the combat zones.

However, the Israeli Cabinet established five conditions for putting an end to the conflict, including disarmament of the Hamas organization, release of the 50 hostages, demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, Israeli control over the security of the enclave and the formation of an alternative government to Hamas and the Palestinian National Authority.
