On the eve, the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN-Managua) and the Casimiro Sotelo University in this capital welcomed hundreds of young people who began their second semester at that level of education.
A semester that will be full of many challenges, a semester in which you will have to develop skills such as the ability to learn more each day, to be present, to commit to your education, dedicating effort and discipline to achieve excellence, the rector of UNAN-Managua, Ángela Munjia, expressed.
The academic director of UNAM-Mangua, Jose Antonio Medal, said that, following institutional and national policies, this institution of higher learning, with an enrollment of nearly 50,000 students at this stage of the academic year, guarantees free, quality education, ensuring academic processes, training, and workshops.
As part of the Sandinista government’s support for the youth and future professionals of this Central American nation, the Executive branch awarded 25,400 scholarships to students at the country’s 12 public universities.
For 18 years, education has been consolidated here as a pillar of human development, with free access at all levels, from preschool to university, including technical and technological programs.
