Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel will hold a series of official meetings during her first visit to the East African country.
Official sources in Tel Aviv also pointed out that Haskel will meet with South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Speaker of Parliament, and other senior government officials to deepen their cooperation on various issues and strengthen regional cooperation.
Forced population transfer is considered a crime against humanity under the Rome Statute and the Geneva Conventions.
Political observers also say that South Sudan is a war-torn country located some 3,000 kilometers south of Gaza Strip besieged by Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.
For their part, the Palestinian Authority and the international community condemn such proposals as a forced expulsion that violates all foundations of international law.
