According to the head of the facility, the medical brigades immediately began preparing clinics and service areas upon their arrival, which allowed them to regain attention without delay.
The hospital offers consultations in general medicine, paediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, orthopedics, dentistry, internal medicine and preoperative assessment, as reported by the Jordanian Armed Forces in a statement.
According to Petra news agency, Jordan currently maintains two military field hospitals in Gaza; one in the north, established in 2009 following the 2008 Israeli aggression, and another in Khan Younis, in the south, in operation since November 2023 in full war escalation.
In addition, the Hashemite Kingdom Armed Forces installed a similar medical facility in the West Bank city of Nablus at the end of last year.
In coordination with the World Central Kitchen organization, the Kingdom also sent a mobile bakery capable of producing 3,500 packages of bread per hour as part of a set of humanitarian programmes that include land and air bridges for the movement of aid.
Amman also sponsors the “Restoring Hope” initiative, aimed at providing prostheses to amputees and evacuating critical patients to medical facilities in Jordan.
