The president asserted that at every international meeting, whether in Asia or Europe, he keeps the plight of the Palestinians, victims of decades of dispossession, destruction of homes, and attacks on schools, mosques, and churches, in mind.
“What is happening in Gaza is not a war, but the most inhumane form of occupation. Everything has been taken: land, homes, families, and lives,” he denounced in a message posted on his official Facebook account.
Anwar stated that Malaysia will continue to assist Gaza and recalled that the day before his government announced an additional contribution of $24 million in humanitarian aid.
The Prime Minister specified that this aid includes medical treatment, educational scholarships, and cooperation projects with international partners to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian population.
He added that, despite fatigue or the apparent lack of hope, the Malaysian people trust in justice and remain steadfast in their commitment to the Palestinian cause.
