Taking into account data from the Bank of the Republic, the figure reached at the end of June emulates oil exports, which reached $6.491 billion and surpassed sales of traditional products such as coal and coffee.
Compared to the same period last year, when $5.627 billion were recorded, the increase was $864 million.
Between January and June 2024, remittances were 15 percent higher than the figure reported a year earlier.
In July 2025 alone, remittances broke the $1.1 billion barrier with an inflow of $1.158 billion.
Once this figure is added, by the end of the seventh month of the year, Colombia had received $7.665 billion.
In 2024, Colombia recorded a record remittance figure of more than $11.84 billion, representing a 17.4 percent increase compared to 2023.
