In recent statements, the Venezuelan chancellor, Yván Gil, denounced that the US government intends to “destabilize all of Latin America,” in connection with reports about the deployment of naval forces in the alleged anti-drug struggle and accusations against Maduro.

According to the portfolio holder such action is a pretext for a failed policy and this phase of fighting cartels goes further.

“It is not only intended to attack Venezuela, what this group of madmen who manages the power in the United States pretend to do is to destabilize all of Latin America,” he warned.
