During his speech at the expanded meeting of this mechanism (SCO+), he urged member countries to foster inclusive economic development globally.
The Asian leader announced the creation of three cooperation platforms in energy, green industry, and the digital economy, along with three collaboration centers in scientific and technological innovation, higher education, and vocational training.
“China is willing to share the opportunities of its large-scale market and will continue to pursue the plan for high-quality development of economic and trade cooperation within the SCO family,” he noted.
According to the president, over the next five years, China will launch 10 million kilowatts of new photovoltaic and wind energy projects together with other member countries and will promote the creation of a joint cooperation center for the application of artificial intelligence.
He also offered access to China’s Beidou satellite navigation system and invited nations with technical capabilities to participate in the construction of an International Lunar Research Station.
Regarding cultural exchanges, Xi noted that ties among the peoples of the SCO are solid and fruitful, and urged for continuing to foster mutual understanding among civilizations with different historical trajectories, social systems, and levels of development.
