The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated that this stance shows a lack of will to restore calm and peace in the Middle East.

It noted that this passivity points to a “clear Israeli intention to continue attacking civilians and exacerbating the catastrophic humanitarian situation, mainly in light of the blockade and starvation policies imposed on the population of the Strip.”

The Foreign Ministry also denounced the recent expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza, and such actions contradict international efforts to end the war.

We reject this aggressive approach, which puts the region on a collision course toward further escalation, the diplomatic institution warned.
