The secretary of organization of the Party’s Central Committee, Roberto Morales, alluded to the date on the social network X and affirmed that the Commander in Chief became a revolutionary at the university.
“His legacy lives on in the young revolutionaries of today,” he added.
According to statements made by Fidel himself, in an interview with Ignacio Ramonet, he arrived at the University of Havana “simply with a rebellious spirit and some basic ideas of justice.”
There he became a Marxist-Leninist and acquired the revolutionary sentiments that he never abandoned.
