This is the International Livestock Exposition, Agroindustrial and Commercial Showcase, according to its long official name, organized by the Rural Association of Uruguay, which is celebrating its 154th anniversary.
Public and private agencies, producers, artisans, technology companies, and others will be present at the fair, which will also be an ideal setting for closing deals and making various agreements.
President Yamandu Orsi tours the fairgrounds, where he will participate in the “From Dialogue to Action” meeting organized by the Confederation of Business Chambers.
The Fair traditionally houses cattle, sheep, goats, horses, and other species, a favorite spot for schoolchildren from numerous schools that organize visits to the exhibition.
There are 1,266 registered animals, particularly cattle and sheep, but the number exceeds 2,000 when poultry, rabbits, pigs, goats, and dogs are included, among which attend the judging, auctions, trials, and other activities, including the popular rodeo.
Projections point out that some 400,000 people will be able to enjoy the offerings of some 650 exhibitors.
