The bill for the five-year period 2025-2030 was introduced in that chamber and the deputies have 45 days to debate it and decide on its approval.
Olivera told the press that the legislation responds to campaign commitments made by the Frente Amplio and prioritizes areas such as children, social protection, mental health and citizen security.
“This is not an improvised budget. There are concrete commitments and a road map that allows us to evaluate how they are fulfilled,” she said.
According to the legislator, more than half of the 63 programmatic promises are already underway or contemplated in the text presented.
She assured that the allocations show the priority of combating child poverty, strengthening the most vulnerable households and guaranteeing basic rights in education, health, employment and housing, among others.
The project observes infrastructure works for some US$ 800 million, in addition to social programs that articulate economic growth with quality employment, he said.
