The celebration includes, this Monday morning, a theoretical event with speakers from Cuba and Latin America. Guests from nearly 10 countries will meet in the afternoon with Casa de las Americas President Abel Prieto.
Then, the albums “Canto de Todos Ciclo Concierto en la Casa del Alba,” “Horizontes blancos de Jesusin,” and “Yo quiero un pais” by Amaury del Rio, will be launched.
Another special moment will be the launch of the CD produced by Ojala record label “Hereticas,” by Vicente Feliu (1947-2021), one of the leading promoters of these gatherings.
Tuesday’s program includes an exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Nueva Trova Movement will be opened at the Jose Marti National Library, where singer-songwriters Augusto Blanca and Mario Sergio Mora will give a concert.
Over the years, Canto de Todos has promoted cultural exchange through song in Latin America, and this year, the event honors its founder and prominent Cuban troubadour Vicente Feliu, whose 78th birthday would be on November 11.
