The facility serves thousands of patients, so the bombing will negatively affect the lives of many people, municipal spokesman Hosni Mahna told the Safa news agency.

Mahna stated that this action constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which stipulates the protection of civilian and medical facilities.

The bombing, which targeted a nearby residential building, caused collapses and large holes in the walls, cracked roofs, shattered windows and doors, destroyed solar panels and water tanks, and damaged water and sewage systems.

It also damaged much of the equipment needed to manufacture prosthetics and orthotics.

The official called on the international community to intervene to halt the Israeli aggression against the coastal enclave, reopen border crossings, and ensure the entry of aid into the territory.

According to authorities, the Gaza Center for Artificial Limbs and Paralysis serves more than 5,000 people registered for the “My Health” program, implemented by the health ministry in Gaza in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross.
