The new edition of the event, which began in 2025, will bring together its competitive actions on the coming Saturday and Sunday, but starting this Friday, the beach resort of Varadero will be ready to provide a luxurious spectacle for all participants.
With the Barcelo-Solymar-Arenas Blancas hotel complex as the epicenter of the aquatic competition, around 600 competitors from nations such as Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Germany, and Cuba will test their stroke strengths over the different distances.
According to the official event program, which will be run under the direction of the Mexican sports brand Gran Challenge, the events will focus on distances of 750 and 1,500 meters, as well as three, five, and 10 kilometers, with divisions by age and gender.
This Friday, the final organizational details will be finalized, with the usual athlete registrations, kit distribution, and the official press meeting to determine the routes and logistical details.
On Saturday, the shorter distances will be stroked, while Sunday will feature the main events of a competition that will also enhance an extensive program of side activities.
The now classic “Beer Mile” race, nautical activities, domino competitions, and tours of the city’s main thoroughfares make up the bulk of the activities to be carried out in this fourth edition, under the clear premise of uniting sport and tourism between two sister nations: Cuba and Mexico.
