The Plenary Chamber of the Plurinational Electoral Body (OEP) defined this Wednesday that the vice-presidential candidates, Edman Lara (Partido Democrata Cristiano/PDC) and Juan Pablo Velazco (Alianza Libre) will face each other on that date in the department of Santa Cruz.
One week later, on October 12, in La Paz, will take place the debate between the pretenders to the presidential chair, Rodrigo Paz (PDC) and Jorge Tuto Quiroga (Libre).
The TSE informed that, as it happened in the two debates prior to the first round on August 17 last, the face to face will have the support of the Confederation of Private Businessmen of Bolivia (CEPB) and the National Association of Journalists of Bolivia (ANPB).
This step is one of the nine points approved in an agreement sealed at the beginning of this month, with the objective of closing the way to the dirty war between the candidates.
Before the TSE and international observers, both parties signed the declaration of the Meeting for Democracy – Second Round of General Elections 2025, held in the city of Santa Cruz.
