TSE member Gustavo Ávila specified that 7,000 jurors will be selected for overseas voting, which will take place in 22 countries.
He reported that the draw will take place exactly one month before the date of the second round to elect the country’s president and vice president, on October 19, as established in the electoral calendar for this unprecedented event in Bolivia’s history.
Ávila explained that, as the selection is random, it is possible that some of those who served as polling station officials in the first round on August 17 may be selected again.
According to the TSE, polling station officials will be notified of their appointment between September 20 and the day of the vote, October 19.
The Electoral Body indicated that the population will be able to find out if they have been selected by reviewing the lists that will be published in a national print media outlet, as well as on its website and in the Yo Participo app.
