The meeting followed up on the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2022 between the parliaments of both countries and allowed for a review of progress in relations at both the legislative and executive levels.
Sudary described the meeting as a new milestone in relations between the two nations and called for strengthening exchanges between friendship groups and working committees.
Gafarova, for her part, encouraged the promotion of inter-parliamentary contacts and extended an official invitation to Sudary to visit Azerbaijan, which was accepted.
During the dialogue, the parties agreed on the need to consolidate cooperation in trade, tourism, health, and education, in addition to reaffirming their common commitment to peace, sovereignty, and global solidarity.
Analysts emphasize that bilateral ties reflect the determination of both nations to advance diplomacy, economics, and multilateral cooperation, particularly within the Non-Aligned Movement.
