The participation of the Vietnamese head of state reaffirms the Indochinese nation’s firm commitment to multilateralism and the fundamental values of the UN and confirms its foreign policy of independence, self-determination, multilateralization, and diversification of relations, said Ambassador Do Hung Viet.
According to Vietnam’s permanent representative to the world organization, Cuong is expected to deliver a message extolling the value of peace and promoting transformations considered decisive for building a sustainable future.
“This is a sincere but forceful message from a nation that has suffered the pain and loss of war, as well as the hardships of blockade and sanctions, and therefore deeply understands the incalculable value of peace and international cooperation,” he said.
Peace, the diplomat emphasized in statements to the Vietnamese news agency VNA, is the solid foundation of all social progress and development, and the guarantee of a better and more sustainable future for all.
